Frequently Asked Questions

What will the tour be like?

Rizos On The Road will take place in 6 different cities: Miami, New Orleans, Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City. While the message of the tour will remain consistent, each city will have it's own look, feel and experience! In general, the tour will be a space where curly girls (and guys) can come together and meet one another in their community. There will be hair demonstrations and experts on site for help with product knowledge. A product swap will also take place to allow you to bring in the new or gently used products that you might have purchased and don't find useful on your curls. You can them swap them out for a different product that could potential turn into your new holy grail! Rizos On The Road will essentially be a space of love, sisterhood, encouragement and most importantly empowerment! YOU IS SMART, YOU IS KIND, YOU IS IMPORTANT ❤️️

Why does tbd mean next to some cities?

TBD means To Be Determined! While Rizos On The Road currently has venues for cities scouted and on hold, venue changes might be necessary depending on the volume of guests at each event. While we anticipate a certain amount of guests to attend each event, we would like to be prepared in the event a city sells out of tickets again. We are trying to accommodate as many of our curl friends as possible! Once a venue has been posted, it is locked in!

What will we be receiving in our gift bags?

You will not BELIEVE the surprises you will be getting in your gift bags! As of now, we have loads of goodies from our sponsors As I Am, SheaMoisture, Curl Keeper, Curls and Curlsmith. Currently, the value of our gift bags is $100+ which makes a VIP ticket to each city well worth it! Aside from curl products, guests will also receive discount codes from certain brands to snag some of their favorite products online, too!

Why did you create rizos on the road?

Rizos On The Road was created to bring education, empowerment and cultural pride to Latinas across the country who are passionately looking for curl guidance, beauty tips, reliability and a sense of community. Discussions will be held in each city to empower and support the natural hair movement while highlighting what it means to be Afro-Latina. With this tour, Rocio and Ada hope to empower the community by reminding them that having natural hair is more than just a trend of hairstyle, its an embodiment of self-love and embracing your roots.

Ohhhhh and because we LOVE a good party tambien, so grab your curlfriends que esta fiesta si que va estar buena! As the salsa queen and proud Afro-Latina Celia Cruz would say "La Rumba me esta llamandooooooo..." 🎶 💃🏽
